Lehman College | Teacher's Assistant | 2012-2014

• Taught introductory students how to mix chemistry, process black and white film, print analogue black and white photographs

• Assisted intermediate and advanced students in the lighting studio during shoots and post-production

 

Polaroid 20x24 Studio | Photo Assistant Intern | Oct 2014

• 2014 New York Film Festival 

     - Assisted Myrna Suárez during portrait shoots of directors and actors on-location before and after red carpet events using the large format Polaroid camera 

     - Shot both film and digital photos, documenting Polaroid 20x24’s “Behind the Scenes” at the NYFF

     - Helped with technical issues

     - Worked closely with the director of photography, fellow interns and other photographers

     - Managed actors and directors on set to ensure efficiency during the continuous string of portraits

 

 

BFA Senior Thesis

My senior thesis Flush, Level, Plumb was a still life introspective of my father’s tools. Over the course of a year, I built many sets and did many shoots, all with the purpose of focusing on abstraction, space, color and texture. This work was self-directed, self-produced and critiqued by the Art Department faculty for both the midterm and final of the fall and spring semesters of my senior year.
